Overseas clients generally fly in to South Africa over a weekend. 

Trips therefore usually commence on a Monday and run through to the following weekend  i.e. 6 – 8 days duration.

Longer or shorter trips can be run on request.
Expedition dates can usually be arranged to suit clients.

    Payment

    Please consult the 2000 Tariff schedule on this page to ascertain the costs of your expedition. A deposit of 25% of the total expedition fee is required to reserve your booking. This may be deposited direct into Conical Hat Expeditions’ designated bank account (details of which will be furnished on request) or a cheque may be posted to either:

    I confirm that payment of the deposit referred to above, constitutes acceptance of the Terms and Conditions and the Indemnity appearing on this form and which I accept form part of my contract with Conical Hat Expeditions.

         

    TERMS AND CONDITIONS

    Reservations:

    Advance booking is essential.

    A deposit of 25% of the expedition fee is payable when the booking is made. This is refundable only if the trip is cancelled due to under-subscription or otherwise at the instance of Conical Hat Expeditions. On receipt of the deposit, clients are sent confirmation of the reservation and pre- departure information.

    The balance is payable not less than 30 days prior to commencement of the trip. Bookings made within 30 days of the start of the trip must be paid in full when the reservation is made.

    Minimum Subscription and Cancellations:

    The minimum signup for any trip is two vehicles or three people. Cancellation due to under-subscription will be effected at least 30 days prior to the departure date. Conical Hat Expeditions however reserves the right to cancel any trip prior to departure for any reason which is considered in its sole discretion to warrant this. In this event all monies paid by clients will be refunded in full.

     

    Cancellation by Clients:

    Failure to pay the full expedition fee within 30 days of the commencement date of the trip will entitle Conical Hat Expeditions to regard the reservation as having been cancelled.

    Should the client cancel the trip and give at least than 30 days notice in writing of such cancellation, the client shall be entitled to a refund of all monies paid less 25% of the total expedition fee which will constitute a cancellation fee. No refund will be made for any cancellation made by clients within 30 days of the commencement date of the trip.

     

    INDEMNITY

     

    I acknowledge that I am aware that there are hazards and dangers associated with travelling in remote areas generally and in particular with off-road driving in such areas. By submitting an application to participate in an expedition organised by Boogameena CC t/a Conical Hat Expeditions I acknowledge that I am voluntarily assuming the risks attendant upon taking part in such an expedition. I, my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns do therefore hereby indemnify and hold harmless Boogameena CC t/a Conical Hat Expeditions together with its Members and servants for any damage which may be suffered as a result of delay, inconvenience, accident, injury, illness or my death or loss or damage to my property arising from any cause whatsoever.
